Have you ever needed help and wished that an expert could be by your side to guide you through a task in real-time? Augmented reality is reshaping the landscape of remote assistance and unlocking a multitude of new opportunities for frontline workers navigating assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and training tasks.

Though numerous AR solutions exist today enabling remote assistance, little insight exists into the experience of users of these new solutions. We’ll discuss the current landscape of remote assistance in augmented reality including Magic Leap’s Assist application, and how AR solutions may provide opportunities beyond traditional solutions. We’ll also share feedback from frontline workers and remote experts, including insights from user testing and interviews.
