The 9th annual AWE USA wrapped up three days in Santa Clara on June 1 with AWE co-founder and CEO taking the Inspire stage to recap AWE's biggest event yet. With nearly 6,000 attendees, 250 exhibitors in a 100,000 sqft. expo and over 400 speakers, AWE most definitely reflected the growing interest and demand in AR+VR within the industry.
As part of the closing ceremony, AWE announced its four remaining Auggie Awards winners for Best-in-Show Augmented Reality, Best-in-Show Virtual Reality, Startup to Watch and the AWesome award. The Best-in-Show award winners were chosen in part by popular vote during the show using, among many things, polling and social media. Both the Startup to Watch and AWEsome award, honoring a product or solution straight out of SciFi, were new categories this year and are selected by a panel of judges. All presenting (exhibiting, speaking, Playground) organizations at AWE USA 2018 were eligible to be nominated for all four awards.
Congratulations to all the winners!
