Based in the ligeti center of the Hamburg University of Music and Drama, Moving Sound Pictures is a project in which users can interactively explore paintings by famous visual artists through playful actions using VR technology.
Artistic director & VR developer Konstantina Orlandatou has developed this project with focus on interactive art mediation and education. Her vision is to build a startup for providing services for museums and other institutions and creating fascinating educational and artistic XR experiences available to the public.
Artolution: Virtual Bridges
Artolution leads arts-based programming with refugees and marginalized communities globally.
Our Virtual Bridges program engages refugee youth and artists in collaborative Virtual Reality experiences in which they create virtual art with their peers around the world. In partnership with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), we are innovating these activities to impact the mental health and social inclusion of traumatized young people who have fled from conflicts in Ukraine, South Sudan, Syria and more.
This is the first ever VR-based program that will improve the mental health of refugees by building positive relationships and connections, strengthening self-esteem, and teach new skills. We will be measuring the impacts in order to continually improve our curriculum using a data driven approach.
