Evelyn Miralles
VR/XR Pioneer at NASA’s Virtual Reality Laboratory and Xploration LLC Founder & CEO

Evelyn Miralles has made significant contributions to computer technologies, notably during her tenure at NASA's Johnson Space Center, which she joined in 1992. As the Chief Principal Engineer, she led the Virtual Reality Lab (VRLab) and played a key role in training astronauts for spacewalks and micro-gravity operations.


Over her 27-year career, she has supported Space Shuttle and International Space Station missions, co-authoring pioneering VR training software like the Dynamic Onboard Ubiquitous Graphics (DOUG). Miralles is a strong advocate for STEM education, particularly for girls, and her dedication to empowering future generations exemplifies her commitment to diversity and innovation across the scientific and XR communities.
