Shara Senderoff was named one of Forbes’ prestigious “30 under 30” leaders in Tech, Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People in Business,” and CEO.com's “14 Most Creative CEOs” along her entrepreneurial rise in Film/TV, Tech and Music.
Shara began her career as an intern for mogul Film/TV producers Scott Rudin (The Social Network), Dan Jinks & Bruce Cohen (American Beauty) and Kevin Bright (Friends). She went on to quickly climb the ranks in the film business reaching Vice President status at The Mark Gordon Company (Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Speed, Saving Private Ryan, 2012) where she developed a slate of 20+ feature films with Universal Pictures, DreamWorks, 20th Century Fox, Sony, Dimension and Paramount. Shara paved innovation by creating and architecting Mark Gordon's initial Digital Media department to leverage technology, the social dynamics of the web and the company’s expertise in storytelling to develop new properties with cross platform capabilities.
Through this self-founded incubator, Shara led investment strategy and formed the company’s venture arm, ultimately partnering with Mark Gordon to launch LA-based startup, Career Sushi (formerly called Intern Sushi), an innovative web platform that reinvented the way interns, entry & mid-level candidates applied to internships and jobs. Shara scaled the company quickly through strategic partnerships with record labels, offering exclusive opportunities to intern with top music artists. The site was acquired in 2015. Career Sushi hosted over 25,000 hiring companies and 1M+ internship/job candidates, placing over 25,000 interns in life-changing roles.
Shara went on to leverage her unique entertainment, tech and digital experience by launching innovation engine Something Gold which includes Something Gold Management, Something Gold Creative, Something Gold Sound and Something Gold Ventures.
