Jamin Hu is a biomedical engineer and classically trained pianist. He is the founder and CTO of Augmented Reality startup Port 6 founded to create the hardware necessary for effortless, intuitive, but powerful interactions in Augmented Reality. These are interactions that he sees as necessary for large scale adoption of AR in our every day lives, the interactions that will become ubiquitous in the next few decades.
He works with his team at Port 6 creating wearables around the hand to reliably detect subtle but tactile micro-gestures. It’s these micro-gestures that will make it possible for people to use AR without needing to raise their hands in view of cameras, without needing to carry controllers everywhere they go, and to use their real life surroundings and objects as natural input modalities for AR.
