Louis Normandin is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Wild Capture, a next-level developer of digital human technology. An accomplished entertainment production professional, Louis has forged a unique path in the world of cinematography and production technology. In his current role, Louis is chiefly responsible for the company's on-set technologies and company operations. Louis believes volumetric video that breaks the uncanny valley "is essential to capturing any human performance represented virtually or physically.”
Calling 2023 the “start of the new era of the digital human,” Louis is excited to continue honing Wild Capture's research and development to help creatives find powerful solutions with digital human technology. Throughout an extensive career on the cutting edge of technical filmmaking and broadcast, Louis has contributed to hundreds of feature films and television episodes and amassed experience in virtual and volumetric productions. His work has earned credits on three Academy Award-winning films: "Monster", "Into the Wild", and "The Green Book."
Louis is a member of the Realtime Society and is active in both its Interoperability and Interactive Storytelling special interest groups. He is also a member of the International Cinematographer’s Guild and the Society of Camera Operators.
