Vinay Malekal is Principal Software Engineer at DigiLens Inc., the leader in holographic waveguides used in augmented and extended reality (XR) smartglasses solutions. He leads the design and development of software solutions to enable partners and customers to bring innovative XR experiences and content to DigiLens' portfolio of next generation smartglasses devices.

With 15+ years of diverse experience developing and launching connected products and solutions, Vinay is now applying this know-how to make AR more accessible and impactful to users and developers at large. Before joining DigiLens, Vinay was Director of Solutions Engineering at Ayla Networks where he helped the development and deployment of large-scale enterprise IoT solutions. Prior to this, he worked on wireless solutions for the Snapdragon product line at Qualcomm. He holds a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California at Los Angeles, and a Bachelor degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from CMR Institute of Technology in India.
