Yewon Gim is the leader of the Applied Research team in Ericsson Digital Human Platform. With a wealth of experience in development based on cutting edge research, Yewon directs a team of exceptionally talented machine learning researchers, dedicated to driving innovation and delivering a product based on novel research to enhance human digital communication products. Prior to her appointment at Ericsson in 2021, Yewon served as the senior member of technical staff at AT&T's innovation center, where she spearheaded industry and research institution collaborations exploring commercial capabilities in quantum computing and quantum networks. Yewon completed a PhD in Physics from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Her research background has equipped her with a wealth of technical expertise and critical problem-solving skills.
