Celine Tricart is an internationally acclaimed director and expert in new technologies. Her work has been showcased at Sundance, Venice, Tribeca and SXSW. She received the Lion for Best Immersive Work at the Venice Film Festival, the Storyscapes Award at Tribeca, two Lumiere Awards, two Telly Awards, an Auggie and a Platinum Aurora Award, amongst many other accolades.
Celine worked for 10 years in the film industry alongside filmmakers Michael Bay (Transformers 4 and 5) and Jonathan Nolan (Westworld). Afterwards, she co-directed and produced Maria Bello’s “Sun Ladies” VR documentary about the women fighting ISIS in Iraq which was selected in over 70 festivals. For this, she had to travel through ISIS-held territory. In 2019, Celine released “The Key”, an interactive VR experience that garnered critical acclaim. Her latest project on women’s self-defense, FIGHT BACK, was selected in the Venice Film Festival.
Celine's achievements extend beyond film; she served as President of the VR Jury at the 2020 Venice Film Festival. In 2021, she was knighted by the French government. She delivered a keynote at SXSW in 2022. In her free time, Celine is a martial artist, self-defense instructor, avid gamer, and author of books on VR and 3D filmmaking.
Her company, Lucid Dreams Productions in Los Angeles, specializes in innovative storytelling. Celine also co-founded COVEN, a Paris-based video game studio. Her first game, "Masters of Light," was released in 2024 for Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2 and was nominated for “XR Game of Year”, won “Best European VR Game”.
