Tina Korani is an Associate Professor of Media Design at San José State University (SJSU) and a co-founder of the Immersive Storytelling Lab and Pioneesta. She is a leading expert in immersive storytelling, AI-driven media, augmented and virtual reality, and interactive design, with a passion for leveraging emerging technologies for education, environmental conservation, and social impact.

At SJSU, Tina leads an innovative, award-winning program that integrates AI and immersive media into digital storytelling, earning national recognition, including top placements at the BEA Festival of Media Arts. Her work extends globally, with collaborations spanning institutions such as the University of Toronto and Stanford University, exploring the potential of AI and the metaverse in education.

As a researcher and creative technologist, Tina focuses on AI-powered extended reality (XR) experiences for social good, particularly in environmental storytelling, accessibility, and ethical AI integration in immersive media.
