Not only is Blockchain evolving quickly, but the wave of exponential technologies is upon us. It is a daunting task to stay abreast of all this tech. However, we can leverage technology to shape that way we will work in the future.
Aside from the practical elements of deploying blockchain and emerging technology, we must consider how the definition of value will evolve, how the digital landscape will seamlessly merge with reality and most importantly, how we want to craft the future.
In this talk, we will look at:
• The role of Blockchain relative to other technologies
• How Blockchain fits into future enterprise solutions
• How to leverage multiple technologies
• Future workforce considerations
• The Peer-to-Peer Economy
• Self Sovereign Identity & Data
• Where to start and how to scale
• Big Picture planning vs. current limitations

Everyone is talking about data processing from 3D to augmented and virtual reality. But how safe are these data? Especially with larger construction projects, floor plans or machine data, many companies are afraid that their data can be stolen by competitors. In this tutorial, I'll explain how Vuframe makes your data safe by using our own data format.

Imagine an AR world on top of our current world where every time you raise your phone you see AR experiences all around you. Now, imagine the possibilities that come as a creator. Whether your goal is to build digital product demos or virtual pop-up shops, Facebook's AR toolset gives you everything you need to build the immersive experience of your dreams. The perception that creating AR experiences can be onerous is misleading. In reality, it has never been easier to get started.
In this session, Davide La Sala, will walk attendees through the skillset, challenges, and best practices involved in the creation of your first Spark AR effect. The session will cover technical details along with helpful tips while demonstrating the workflow of a Spark AR effect from beginning to end. Attendees will leave this workshop ready to hit the ground running - one-step closer to creating, publishing and distributing AR experiences to the Facebook and Instagram platforms' 1.5 billion daily users.

Creating a permanent link between the virtual space and the real-world is a key feature of any indoor navigation application. We’ll make a summary of tracking technologies available on the market, like markers, point cloud based relocalization, beacons, or ceiling antennas, analyze their characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses. A range of recommended use cases will be presented and discussed. We’ll also have a look at potential extensions of the technology, like an interactive virtual character.

The XR industry is on the precipice of change. Custom, bespoke XR presentations created by agencies have a “wow” factor but are not repeatable nor scalable. This is especially true for complex engineering data. Large scale infrastructure projects need to have solutions that respond to constantly changing data and variables—and integrate seamlessly into a daily workflow. We will look at historical trends in technology to determine the near future outcomes for XR and see what the state of practice will evolve to for the use of XR in the engineering workflow. How will this work as a collaborative design and decision-making tool, and how can we use XR to communicate complex engineering data to non-technical stakeholders?

Babble Rabbit is a mobile AR application built on the 6D.ai platform. It is a virtual pet experience in which the user interacts with a rabbit using spoken commands and by tossing virtual objects into the world. Babble Rabbit is a valuable testing ground for our studio, giving us a place to freely experiment as we seek solutions to the challenges of consumer-facing AR applications, while also collecting data from real users.
In this talk, we will share our findings from building and updating Babble Rabbit over the past year. We will talk through UX problems, the promise and challenge of speech recognition, and the current reality of AR Cloud-based applications. For each, we’ll discuss the solutions we arrived at through iteration, sharing video clips from work-in-progress builds, and actual user data.
While Babble Rabbit is a fun and whimsical application that can be enjoyed by a wide audience, the tech behind it and the learnings it has provided us have fueled our work for R&D departments at very large corporations in various industry verticals. Throughout this talk, we’ll connect our Babble Rabbit experience to more practical use cases.

Centrica is an international energy and services provider with 26Million customer accounts globally and 12,000 field based engineers.
As Centrica transitions from a traditional utility provider to a technology driven energy and services company, it has already begun to harness the power of Cloud and AI services to aid in this transition.
For Centrica to continuously satisfy the changing needs of its customers, they are proactively looking at new innovative technologies; amongst these Centrica recognised that eXtended Reality or Immersive Technologies could further accelerate this transition specifically in the areas of operational excellence, customer service, learning and development, engineer safety and overall cost efficiencies. To test this, over the past two years Centrica has started trialling various eXtended Reality initiatives across different parts of the organisation, such as:
• Rolling out world’s first integrated loyalty marketing campaign using webAR
• Virtual Reality to immersively convey company’s strategy and roadmap
• Remote assist and collaboration between experts and customers turning customers into digital engineers using mobile webAR
• Mobile AR product placement to allow customers to try and customise Centrica’s smart HIVE products before buying.
• Microsoft Mixed Reality platform and HoloLens for immersive learning, step by step instructions, hand’s free remote assistance between experts and field engineers and virtual collaboration experiences amongst distributed functions and experts.
This talk will focus on evangelising XR technology at a large multi-facet business, the talk (through examples) will touch on some of the XR initiatives, share lessons learnt, tips on how to approach trials and best practice.

Seeing is believing: Increasing pixel count and improving image rendering will never deliver complete visual immersion.
The optical interface holds the key to engaging the eyes and the brain in a way that delivers true visual fidelity.
In this presentation we will show the limitations of the fixed optical set-up in today's headsets and the benefits that can be achieved by introducing variable power optics that stimulate our eyes to respond and focus as they do in the real world.

For the past 4 years, in collaboration with renown artists worldwide, SAMA (Street Art Museum Amsterdam) has built a collection of over 300 pieces that lightens up the walls of one of the most degraded neighborhoods of the city. By the end of this year renovation of the area will start and, even though it is part of the evolution of the urban landscape, the second monumental piece will turn to rubbles. To preserve the artwork long after it will be gone, SAMA together with GRTalk embarked on a project that uses photogrammetry, VR animation, and 360 videos to create an experience that merges realities and tell the story of “Fatherhood” and his lost partner “Safety”.
