Helmut Schrom-Feiertag received his Master's degree in Telematics from Graz University of Technology and is a scientist at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna, Austria, for two decades. His main research interests are in the domain of immersive virtual Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), specifically the topics of Virtual, Mixed and Extended Reality (VR, MR, XR) used for research, prototyping and training. The focus is primarily on the development of adaptive immersive training systems that can interpret the state and actions of users in the simulated virtual context and optimally adapt to users and their individual behaviour. This provides an optimal basis for personalised and highly efficient training for challenging environments.
