Kit Gilbert is the Senior Director of Platform Go-To-Market, Strategy and Operations at Niantic, spearheading efforts to transform the real world into a platform for cross-device XR experiences. With a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, Kit has dedicated the past decade to pioneering disruptive technologies, particularly in augmented reality that fosters human connection.

As Chief Operating Officer at Sensible Object, a London-based games studio, Kit led the company's acquisition by Niantic. This began her five-year tenure at Niantic, where she has served in various leadership roles, bringing developer tools to market, evolving platform strategy, and managing global operations to accelerate computer vision and mapping capabilities.

In her current role, Kit focuses on developing tools that enable the capture of detailed 3D scenes and empower creators to build and deploy immersive experiences across mobile, desktop, and headsets. She is also focused on harnessing the potential of spatial computing and Niantic Map—the world's most precise and detailed 3D map—for consumer applications.
