From 1990 to 1997, Jonathan Waldern was the founder CTO and CEO of Virtuality Group, which developed and launched the world’s first production VR workstations. His research pioneered new ways to interact with computers which are now commonplace.

In 2004 Waldern founded DigiLens and held various leadership positions, including CTO. With more than 25 years of experience in the commercialization of holographic and lithographic/nanomaterials for photonic applications, Waldern has been at the forefront of holographic and XR technologies and has helped pioneer the development of a wide range of displays, scanners and active integrated optical components for LED and laser illumination.
