Stephen Ellis
Headed the Advanced Displays and Spatial Perception Laboratory at NASA Ames

Stephen Ellis, a distinguished academic researcher, led the Advanced Displays and Spatial Perception Laboratory at NASA Ames Research Center for nearly two decades. With a Ph.D. in Psychology from McGill University and extensive postdoctoral experience, Ellis specialized in user interaction with spatial information in perspective displays and virtual environments.

He has authored over 200 formal reports and journal publications, focusing on augmented reality and virtual reality. Ellis's contributions have significantly advanced our understanding of human interface dynamics in spatial data systems, shaping the fields of presence, human factors, and virtual reality.
