PANEL: Policy Priorities for the U.S. XR Industry

In early 2025, XRA sent a letter to the Trump administration asking for XR to be considered a key part of its artificial intelligence strategy. With the reintroduction of the bipartisan United States Leadership in Immersive Technology Act of 2024, Congress has taken a significant step towards establishing a strategic framework to promote XR innovation. In this panel, we will discuss the policy frameworks needed to ensure innovative and sustainable growth of immersive technologies, while addressing the geopolitical competition with other nations like China, South Korea, and the EU. By working together to create a sensible governance framework, diversify supply chains, and invest in R&D, the U.S. can lead the way in shaping the future of immersive technologies.
