Sandhya Santhosh is a Senior Research Engineer in Virtualization Demonstration at Collins Aerospace- Applied Research and Technology , an RTX company. She holds a PhD in Industrial Design Engineering specializing in the 'Development of co-creation platforms utilizing extended reality (XR) technologies'. With a keen focus on a human-centered approach and human-machine teaming, Sandhya's expertise spans across, but is not limited to, the aerospace domain.
Her extensive experience includes participation in numerous European Commission projects where she has been instrumental in advancing XR technologies across various fields. Sandhya has significantly contributed to human-centered design reviews using XR, human-machine teaming initiatives, and human performance evaluations within XR environments. She has also been at the forefront of human-in-the-loop simulations, researching augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) technologies tailored for diverse user profiles such as air traffic controllers, drone operators, and astronauts.
