Louis Rosenberg, PhD is an early pioneer of virtual and augmented reality, and a longtime AI researcher. His work began 34 years ago in research labs at Stanford University and NASA. In 1992 he developed the first mixed reality system at Air Force Research Laboratory, the Virtual Fixtures platform. In 1993 he founded the early VR company Immersion Corporation and brought it public on NASDAQ in 1999. In 2004 he founded the early AR company Outland Research. In 2014 he founded Unanimous AI, a company working on the development of Collective Superintelligence. He earned his PhD from Stanford University, was a tenured professor at California State University, and has been awarded over 300 patents for his work in VR, AR, haptics, and AI. His latest book, Out Next Reality, about the future of AI and XR was released in 2024. He is currently CEO & Chief Scientist of Unanimous AI.
