Damon has 30+ years of experience in the simulation-based training industry specializing in distributed training systems, 3D visualization, 3D terrain, and simulated radio. He is President of the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO), the world's leading standards body for simulation and VR systems interoperability. He is also President of Simulation Exploration Experience Inc, a non-profit entity that sponsors the Simulation Exploration Experience (SEE) activities for university-level STEM education for distributed simulation.
Damon is inventor of two realtime image processing techniques for virtual reality with two patents awarded. Prior to working in the simulation industry, he served 16 years with the US Air Force, including software engineering on cruise missiles, avionics engineering for the F-16, and radio maintenance for HF, VHF, UHF and other radio systems. Damon is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
