As the Head of Mobile, 3D & XR at Volvo Group which includes Mack/Renault/Volv trucks, buses, and construction equipment, I bring over a decade of leadership in advancing VR/AR/3D, last 2.5 years in the automotive and transport sector.

My tenure includes serving as the Head of the XR business unit at Tobii, where I led the integration of eye-tracking subsystems and software into XR headsets, thereby enhancing the devices and user experience.

My expertise in driving innovation and scaling cutting-edge technologies within the Volvo Group has led to transformative impacts on product development, new product solutions, and customer engagement.

My goal is to mainstream 3D and XR technologies to enrich our diverse product offerings, including developing concepts for the general 3D visualization of our products at Volvo Group.

What I and my teams have contributed to in the AR/VR space:


  • Standardize and automate how to represent Volvo's products and their billions of possible configurations in real-time 3D (desktop, mobile and XR).

  • VR for training all our workshop technician on procures on all our new Volvo trucks (>50 training centers across the globe)

  • All new vehicles designed, and manufacturing lines are being reviewed in VR and moving to include MR.

  • Virtual visualization of complex and hidden parts to speed up repair and maintenance at the workshop  (AR with tablet).

  • Standardizing eye tracking as an input modality into OpenXR and the USB standard.

  • Integrated eye-tracking optronics and machine learning algo into PlayStation VR2 (foveated rendering and gameplay), Meta Reality labs research trackers, HTC Vive Pro Eye, Pico Neo 2/3, HP Reverb, Qualcomm AR and VR reference platforms etc.
