In this tutorial participants will learn how to create an AR app with a fully-functioning cloud-backend in less than 15 minutes. Participants will see how to generate native apps for Android with ARCore, iOs with ARKit, HoloLens & MagicLeap with Unity, and web browsers with WebXR and AR.js, all connected to the same cloud.

Participants will learn how to change AR content across all platforms simultaneously through the cloud, with no coding, and no rebuilding the apps. Participants will show how a small change in one cloud-connected app, can send updates to all other apps across the different AR SDKs & platforms.

Participants are encouraged to either bring their laptops with Unity installed, bring an AR-enabled mobile device, or can follow along the live demonstration.

Scalability is everything in business. If you can only target a small audience, then your idea may not succeed. But if your idea is applicable, accessible and intriguing to everyone it can flourish beautifully.  The problem is that scaling technology can be complex, and it’s even harder when it comes to AR.

Many developers struggle to create scalable and dynamic apps. It seems that most of today’s AR apps are single-user experiences with static and hard-to-update content. Any change in the app results in endless development cycles while costing money and time building and maintaining their app.

The goal of this talk is the show how anyone can easily have a strong scalable cross-platform backend for their AR/VR apps without compromising on quality or speed. Participants will learn how to create real-time apps for ARCore, ARKit, WebXR, Vuforia, Unity, and more, all connected to the same cloud.

Startups have ambition but lack scale (people and money). Big companies have scale, but grow too conservative after early successes.

Working together, even getting acquired, can often change the game. But it comes with many pitfalls, and usually not the ones you tend to worry about.

I'll share my experience working in big and small companies and give some insights into how to make it work out for everyone involved.

In the five years since HTC brought SteamVR tracking to the world, many other optical tracking solutions have been offered, all variations of computer vision and structured light techniques.

Looking at each of the pain points in turn, bringing in the optical, mathematical, and computational issues along the way, we show how multiple tracking systems are combined and trade-offs made to create acceptable consumer products, and show what industrial and professional users should be asking for when considering AR technology.

AR researchers and industry insiders have long envisioned that at some point in the future, a cloud AR platform that contains the Realtime 3D (or spatial) map of the world, will be the single most important software infrastructure in computing, far more valuable than Facebook’s Social graph or Google’s page rank index.

Azure Spatial Anchor is a cloud AR platform that supports ARKit and ARCore .
Azure mixed reality services offers SDKs and services that make it easier to build spatially aware, enterprise ready, cross-platform applications for AR across HoloLens, iOS and Android.

In this session I will talk about the different verticals (Industry 4.0 , Retail ,IOT, Gaming, …) and the benefits of developing a cross-platform mobile AR application with Azure mixed reality services:
• Create multi-user, spatially aware mixed reality experiences, add context to the real world using
• Provide your users a better understanding of their data, where they need it and when they need it, by placing and connecting your digital content to physical points of interest.
• Share holograms across devices, accelerate decisions and results by bringing 3D to your team and customers on the device of their choice.
• Infuse AI and protect your apps, do more with your solution by integrating IoT services and artificial intelligence, and protect sensitive data with enterprise-grade security from Azure.
