AWE USA 2024
Despite initially planning on becoming a game developer, a family health event led Dr. Barad to pursue a career solving healthcare challenges with technology instead. After obtaining a degree in bioengineering from UC Berkeley and an MD from UCLA, where he graduated first in his class, he completed his residency at UCLA and his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Harvard and Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to being a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon, he co-founded Osso VR with a mission to improve patient safety and democratize access to modern surgical techniques.
