Andrew Cochrane is an interactive and immersive content creator for mediums such as virtual and augmented reality, installations, live events, large-scale domes, and mobile & web apps. His extensive insight into both the creative and the technological aspects of modern content creation provides a unique blend of narrative focus, artistic savvy, and high-tech problem-solving.
Currently, he is consulting and working to bring exciting technology to the world of entertainment and immersive experiences, using AI and other emerging tools to architect experiences for audiences across numerous platforms and mediums.
Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President of Post Production Innovation at MSG Sphere Studios; Madison Square Garden Entertainment’s immersive entertainment venue being built in Las Vegas. He created and led the department at the studio responsible for all technological innovation in post-production, playback, and audio that will be used to create all types of content for shows at this new state-of-the-art immersive venue.
In 2019, he completed THE 100%, a volumetric VR experience that premiered at TribecaX, where it won the award for Best Virtual Reality Experience. This experience was also selected as a finalist for the Creative Arts Emmy in the Innovation & Interactive Programming category and won several other awards for excellence in immersive storytelling.
Andrew is an expert in forming and leading teams for delivering innovative and technologically complex projects. He has been integral to the growing immersive entertainment space, both as a creator and a thinker – speaking at conferences around the world. His immersive content credits span the gamut of live-action, CGI, and real-time experiences for clients such as Intel, Adobe, USA Today, Google, GE, Disney, USA Network, Visa, Las Vegas, and many others. Andrew has also directed commercials for Disney, LG, VIZIO, Google, Target, Barco, and M&M’s. He has also done several traditional and VR projects featuring his own narrative and creative development.
