AWE USA 2024
Christine Hobbi is an Emerging Technologies Consultant, Instructional Designer, Virtual Space facilitator, former Adjunct Professor of Business,
and founder of two training/consulting companies, ServiceElements and ServiceAlliances International, Inc.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person workshops became impossible in March 2020. ServiceAlliances pivoted to explore alternative training methods, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR) platforms. Christine and her team developed "ACT – Active Civilian Training," a VR program designed to prepare civilians for traumatic situations, including active shooter events. The training covers how the brain responds to trauma, influencing physical reactions, and offers proactive preparation strategies for such events. ACT also includes VR training for CPR with a mannequin, and "Stop the Bleed."
Other ServiceAlliances VR training initiatives include towing and fueling business/personal aircraft and over 25 HSE training programs (i.e., CPR, Fire Safety, Postural Ergonomics, Construction Safety, etc.) and AI Soft Skills and leadership training. ServiceAlliances can also write, create, and customize any type of training for web-based (computer/phone) or VR headset, or provide consulting on the possibilities for business training and marketing using emerging technologies.
