Nima Shams is a notable figure in the augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR) industries. He currently holds the position of Vice President and General Manager of the Product Business Unit at DigiLens Inc., a company renowned for its innovation in holographic waveguide display technology for AR. Shams has over 15 years of experience in creating groundbreaking, disruptive platforms in this field. He is highly regarded for his creative and leadership skills, especially in the realm of wearable and head-worn technology. Before joining DigiLens, Shams was the Head of Advanced Product Development and Chief Engineer at RealWear, where he played a pivotal role in defining future product roadmaps and advising on XR developments. His career also includes over eight years at Osterhout Design Group (ODG) as the Vice President of Head Worn Products. During his tenure at ODG, he was instrumental in developing more than 16 head-worn platforms and in the shipment of thousands of units to various consumer and industrial sectors. Shams is known for his significant contributions to the XR developer community and has collaborated with major industrial partners like BMW, Qualcomm, and others to shape the landscape of mobile computing.
