Aundrea Frahm

Aundrea Frahm is a trailblazer in immersive education. She founded the VR/AR initiatives at Southern Utah University (SUU) as director of VR/AR Initiatives and now is serving as the Director of Immersive Learning at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). At SUU, she has spearheaded the development of the first VR/AR classroom of its kind in the nation, allowing 44 students to engage in hands-on learning through state-of-the-art virtual and augmented reality technologies at once. She founded the first VR/AR faculty cohort and integrated VR/AR into over 50 courses. Her initiatives have impacted over 4,000 students, helping to transform traditional educational methods into interactive, experiential learning experiences.

Aundrea's leadership also extends to conceptualizing and executing the annual XR Southern Summit, which brings together industry experts, educators, and students to explore the latest advancements in immersive technology​. In her role at UNLV, Aundrea leads the implementation of immersive learning campus-wide through the integration of the Dreamscape Learn platform, which merges immersive VR environments with cinematic storytelling to create captivating learning experiences that deepen students' engagement and comprehension. Aundrea actively collaborates with multiple vendors in the software industry to bring these cutting-edge tools into higher education. By fostering partnerships with leaders in the XR field, she ensures that educational institutions are equipped with the latest technologies, enabling students to develop critical skills for the future. Her innovative work is not only transforming classrooms but also setting new standards for immersive learning in academia.
