Laramie County Community College

Meghan Kelly is the Associate Dean for the Library and Learning Commons at Laramie County Community College (LCCC) in Cheyenne, WY. She earned her Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Texas at Austin.  She has worked in libraries since she was 13 years old in a variety of positions including events, technical services, teaching, and management.  With 20 years of experience in working in Higher Education, she has earned a Certified Public Manager designation and contributed as a Project Lead to national and college wide projects with AAC&U and the Aspen Institute to increase student success and ensure students complete programs that lead directly to a living wage.

Meghan is passionate about connecting teachers and students to information sources to enhance learning. As Chair of the WY Community College Libraries group, she is experienced in creating state-wide collaborations to bring broad access to resources.  She is a promoter of technology and bridging the gap between users and resources. She empowers users by bringing innovative and emerging technology opportunities to the community.  Also, as a mom of gamers, scaling up to include VR/AR technology and experiences at LCCC was a natural evolution and brings state-wide value to the institution.
