Born and raised in Graz, he studied mechanical engineering and choose the focus on mechatronics. His diploma thesis and career entry was at TGW GmbH in 2004 in the innovation management in Wels, where he gained his first experience with importance of CAD and visualization for innovation, especially ergonomic design for human centered pick and place workplaces. Since 2008 he is employed at Fill GmbH and since 2009 team leader R&D at Fill and responsible for national and internation R&D projects and future trends. 2012 he became a welding engineer (IWE) and was impressed that the skills on welding are also trained on virtual reality tools. As the person responsible for R&D and the R&D process he is interested in tools to support the early phase of innovation. When the first sketches are done and the engineer needs to combine design, usability and function XR seems to be key to success.
