Ben Taylor is a Tokyo-based Technical Director leading XR Initiatives as part of the SQUARE ENIX Advanced Technology Division for the past 5 years. Previously at Hasbro he helped develop mass-market physical-meets-digital XR products including Marvel Avengers: Infinity War Hero Vision Iron Man AR, Play-Doh Touch Shape to Life Studio, and Yo-kai Watch Land in partnership with Japan’s Level-5. His XR games have won several awards including the Grand Prize in AR at the 2017 MIT Reality Virtually hackathon and the Best Single Player Game at the 2014 Boston FIG for a DK2 VR kissing game which was featured on Comedy Central’s @midnight. He holds MBA and MET (Master of Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University) master’s degrees.
