Alejandro Mendoza is the XRVR leader at Sierra Space, working as part of the Engineering Solutions team. His career began over a decade ago on an advanced manufacturing floor in his small hometown in Colorado. Starting with a foundation in composites manufacturing, Alejandro quickly expanded into aircraft part production early in his career. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, he explored the startup landscape with a stint in the energy efficiency industry. He then returned to aircraft parts manufacturing, contributing to the production of F-series jet components and advanced munitions. Alejandro transitioned into aerospace manufacturing with Sierra Nevada Corporation, and soon became one of the first few hundred employees of the newly established space tech offshoot, Sierra Space.

Since joining Sierra Space, Alejandro has championed and orchestrated the implementation of XR, VR, and AR technologies to address a variety of challenges. His work has been integral to engineering applications and has significantly enhanced investor and customer presentations, contributing to the largest Series A and B funding rounds ever secured by a space company, as well as several notable MOUs and major contract wins. Alejandro is passionate about building relationships across the industry to further the advancement and adoption of visualization technologies, constantly learning from his broad network of colleagues and mentors. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is a motorsports enthusiast who enjoys creating motorcycle and automotive content. Alejandro is driven by the desire to honor his family's sacrifices through hard work and to provide similar opportunities to his loved ones.
