Bridgette Sieffert is currently working as an Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Engineer at Terran Orbital, a leading manufacturer of small satellites primarily serving the United States and Allied aerospace and defense industries. As Terran Orbital’s only software engineer working on AR/VR, she creates interactive 3D spatial material for manufacturing work instructions for technicians as well as marketing and design review simulations. Originally from Minnesota, she graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on virtual reality development. She was first introduced to augmented & virtual reality during her multiple internships at 3M. Here she worked on gesture recognition with Leap Motions as well as data collection in the HoloLens 2. Throughout college she was extensively involved in the Society of Women Engineers as well as electrical and computer engineering honor society IEEE – ETTA KAPPA NU where she was the Vice President. In her spare time, Bridgette runs her own board game company which has a University of Minnesota themed board game in the University of Minnesota Bookstore. She also is the captain of her work softball team and enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and traveling.
