Daniel Yu is a Senior Unity developer specializing in VR, based in Budapest, Hungary, with a strong focus on simulation and training applications. His passion for VR began in high school, where he developed a multiplayer game that earned him a spot in the Kitchen Budapest talent program. As an Oculus Start developer, he created PathCraft, a VR puzzle game later published by Vertigo Games on the Meta Store.
Daniel has contributed to a diverse range of simulation projects, from a train driving simulation for MTR UK to a truck safety training program for Volvo. His expertise extends to optimizing VR experiences, ensuring smooth frame rates and exceptional visual quality. He thrives in fast-paced environments, rapidly prototyping and iterating to bring innovative VR experiences to life.
Currently, Daniel is working at Fantastic Voyage Labs on Destination Lab, a VR application for hands-on training in biosciences and clinical labs, bridging real-world interactions with virtual environments.
